Hello Summerville Artist Guild members,
I am honored to be your president. I love being part of this guild sharing
experiences, laughter, joy, and friendships. Thank you to all our members for
your continued support and patience as we work through each new challenge.
Now is the time to renew your memberships at the regular price.

We’d like to thank The City of North Charleston Cultural Arts Department
along with all those involved with making North Charleston’s Park Circle
Gallery and our 44th Annual Judged Exhibition so special; that includes our
exhibition judge Alana Knuff, Maureen Gonzalez and her exhibition team
Waverly Brown, and Susan Griebel; all our exhibiting artists who created and
shared their beautiful art, an our Governing Board for helping to make this
exhibit possible.
President's Message
Thank you to Diana and John Barth for zooming and recording our first fall meeting on Sept. 3, 2020
featuring Dee Beard Dean’s wonderful demonstration, “The Beauty of Oil.” They edited the video and then
gave us the link to send to all of you, our SAG members to enjoy. The awards for both the March All
Members Show at the George H. Seago, Jr. Library and the SAG 44th Annual Judged Exhibition now
showing at the North Charleston Park Circle Gallery in the Olde Village Community Center were
announced at the meeting. Congratulations to all who won an award. Please stop by with your family and
friends to view the exhibition during the month of September.
We’d like to use Zoom again for future meetings. Diana said, “Going forward, we need a team of people
who are willing to share that task…We can help train those who are interested in learning how to host and
record a meeting via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. The Barths have a camera that we can use, but the
volunteers who will host meetings will need a laptop.” Please contact, Jan Kelley at artist.jankelley@gmail.
com if you are willing to help or you need the link to watch the SAG meeting video.
